When I moved to LA I stopped writing in order to focus on acting. I still wrote but not nearly as much. Then the pandemic happened. I narrated Five short books in fifty-two days and it hotwired my brain back into reading all the time. I've read hundreds of books since then - both physical and kindle. reading more also led to writing more actively. somehow this focus on reading and writing supercharged my focus on my acting career. For me all 3 of these things are Intertwined. my creativity feeds off of reading, writing, and acting in a way i should never have tried to separate. my art gives my life its shape and now my life gives my art shape as well.
I am an adventurer. I love to trAvel and experience cultures that are not my own. i made my own BA degree in Medieval and Renaissance Studies specifically to look at the theatre, literature, art, and music of the period - i wanted to know what the people thought. i’ve performed with a pirate themed a capella singing group since the late 90s called marooned. all of these things built who I am. but they were also built on who i was to begin with - i want to see and learn as much as i can and bring that to my acting and my writing, not just my life.
If you ask my family, I've been acting since before I was born, but officially it is since I was around 15. I was an acting major at the Las Vegas Academy of Performing Arts. I got my degree in Medieval and Renaissance Studies with a serious shakespeare focus. After spending some time in the UK, I landed in Los Angeles. A friend of mine dragged me to a voiceover class with him and I was hooked. I booked my first audiobook in 2012. I called my parents and told them I found the perfect job - I get to talk, act, and read!! Three of my favorite things. i still act on stage and screen as well, but the pandemic definitely brought voice over to the front using my own studio.
